Broker Management
Southwest Wisconsin Technical College will be offering a course in Broker Management beginning Monday, May 19, 2008. Broker Management is a 36-hour course designed to prepare real estate salespeople with the knowledge to become a real estate broker in Wisconsin. Mark Randall will be the instructor. Class sessions will meet from 5:30 until 9:30 p.m. in Room 310, the Media Center at Southwest Tech.

This class will be held at the Stitzer Fire Deptartment on Tuesday and Thursday nights beginning on June 3, 2008. The class is state funded and will be held from 7:00 to 10:00 for a total of 15 hours.

Sewing Expo
Sewing Expo involves 43 teachers doing 131 classes for your sewing and quilting pleasure! New this year is the 2-day class “Beginning Quilting 101” and the “Absolute Beginner” and “Almost A Beginner” adult sewing classes. Most of us are here to polish up our skills or learn a new pattern or technique. But what about your friend who always wanted to sew, but didn’t know where to begin? Here is the perfect opportunity! Help that friend sign up for these beginner classes at this year’s Sewing and Quilting Expo, and share all this fun with someone special in your circle of family and friends. The Sessions will be held on June 6 & 7, 2008.

Challenges for the Future
This course is designed to give K-12 and WTCS educators insight to the careers of the future for the purpose of enhancing school to work activities and providing information on emerging career fields. Participants will interview professionals and tour facilities, which will allow for discussions on career expectations and the classroom role in preparing young people to become part of a quality workforce to meet future career demands of employers.

Entry Level Firefighter Part 1
This class will be held in Benton at the Fire Department on Tuesdays begining on June 10, 2008. THis class is state funded and will be held from 7:00 to 10:00 for a total of 30 hours.

EMT-Intermediate Technician
The EMT-Intermediate Technician class will be held in Cuba City beginning on Wednesday, June 18, 2008. The course will run from 6:00 to 10:00 and be 90 hours. Please register at least one week prior to the start of class.

Tractor Safety Class
A 24-hour tractor and machinery certification course will be conducted in Dodgeville, Cuba City, Richland Center and at the Southwest Tech campus in Fennimore during the month of June. The Dodgeville class will be held at the Dodgeville High School on June 16, 18, and 20; the Richland Center class will be held at the Richland High School on June 23, 25, and 26; the Fennimore class at the Southwest Tech campus on June 16, 18, and 19; and the Cuba City class will be held at the Cuba City High School on June 23, 25, and 27. All sessions will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m. The cost of the course is $79.93.

ICS 400
ICS 400 classes will be held at the firehouse in Cuba City. Class will be from 6:00 tp 10:00. ICS 400 part one will be held on July 21 and part two will be held on August 18.
both sessions will need to be completed in order to receive certification. ICS 300 is a pre-requisite.
Bricklaying Exploratory Course for Educators
This 30‐hour course offers a practical approach to masonry instruction and is designed to be a combination of lecture and hands‐on activities. It will help participants establish procedures necessary to implement a masonry class in their school districts. The class will run Monday ‐ Friday August 4 ‐ 8, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. ‐ 3:30 p.m.

Traffic Safety & Point Reduction
Traffic Safety-Point Reduction is a 12-hour course. The primary focus of the course is to encourage students to examine their driving behavior and attitudes, and to determine personal change required to improve their ability to operate a vehicle safely.
