Welcome to Online Learning at Southwest Tech! Online Learning is a convenient alternative to taking courses in a traditional classroom setting. It allows the student to learn almost anywhere and anytime (within the parameters of the course). It also offers a unique opportunity to take a class via the Internet without having to come to campus on a regular basis.
- Students who achieve the best results in an online learning course are able to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Online learning courses are no different from regular courses taught on campus in the amount of time it takes to do the lessons and assignments.
- Students have opportunities to interact with the instructor and other students through electronic means.
- Students must be well organized and have a basic knowledge of computer functions to be successful in a distance learning course.
