Tom Sheehan

Tom came to Southwest Tech in 1972 and retired in 2011, spending just shy of four decades at the college. Tom started as an instructor at the college and then moved into the Student Services side of the college, helping students with programs, personal guidance and then watching them grow into successful professionals. In a statement about Southwest Tech Tom stated, “Southwest Tech has retained through the years excellence administrators, instructors, and support staff; but the College’s greatest gift continues to be the students.” Now as a retiree Tom is still involved with the campus, serving on the Southwest Tech Foundation board of directors, helping with the planning of the 50th Anniversary Celebration and continuing to serve as an ambassador of the college.
