Southwest Tech Students have the opportunity to receive free and/or discounted software through the Wisconsin Technical College System and by certain software vendors. This is a great way to use the same software at home that you use every day in class and be proficient with the software upon entering the workforce.
Southwest Tech Students can use Microsoft Office 365 as a full, installed Office experience including the latest system-specific versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Lync, and Access, available for free.
The Wisconsin Technical College System works with software vendors to allow students to purchase full versions of professional software at a reduced cost of up to 70% off. Products include Adobe Creative Cloud, Acrobat professional DC, Filemaker, and more. There are also many free versions of software available for download including antivirus and antimalware utilities. Check out all the software offerings at the WISC Software site.
Please make certain that the software you're considering is what you want before you buy. Many manufacturers offer free trial versions of their software. If you're unsure that the software you're considering is what you want, download, install, and use the trial version before you buy.
