Haiti has been an emotional merry-go-round. The sights, the smells and the sounds can only be experienced first hand. Looking into all the brown eyes of the children is as equally heart warming as it is heart breaking. We have experienced tears, laughter, heart ache and joy with each day. Each and every one of us has embraced and experienced the Haitian culture and it’s people in an individual way. We have had the opportunity to interact and better a few children’s lives through offering health care, laps to sit on, hands to hold and many hugs for all. The Haitian nursing students encounter has been an enlightening experience. We have had the opportunity to provide teaching and skills to better their nursing future. We have been able to laugh and lean on each other as we move through our cultural experience.
