Southwest Tech student checking haitian boyBon Jour,

This is Rebecca, Tory, Paula, Amy and Katie writing on this 80 degree “cool” but humid foggy morning. As this week is coming to end we have experienced things that a new marathon trainer feels. After long days and sleepless nights we wake up feeling swollen, stiff and perhaps a bit constipated. We cant wait to get out of bed and hear the cracking of our bodies or the crunching of the beetles under our feet. After standing up we all feel dizzy due to the dehydration with the lack of water intake. We are all none the less excited to go to the main house to get a cup of coffee from the french press. As we patiently wait at the front gate for the breakfast bell to ring we take in this beautiful sunrise. Before every meal we start off with a beautiful prayer for the health, safety and love of the haitian country. Breakfast has been amazing every morning with the blend of cultures. The bananas and mangos are picked fresh from the yard and we have an amazing haitian cook for each meal with an american touch.

Cant wait to share more stories when we get home.

Love you all!!!
