Prepping, packing and preparing precisely at 49.5 lbs. Our suit cases are getting fuller and our minds are getting boggled. Today we were told not to jump out of the truck, don’t go to the black market and don’t leave the group and have your BIS in tap tap by 0800. We have a group of 10 this year. 7 excited nursing students, 2 tired instructors and a nurse practitioner. We are planning on meeting at 5am and leaving from Colleen’s to board the plane in Chicago. From there, we will be spending the night in Miami and enjoying a fresh seafood dinner. Then, off to Haiti. We should be arriving there by 0800 on Wednesday morning. We are looking forward to new friendships and faces. Only 5 days before we leave on our great adventure!
