Southwest Tech Student Delivers Free Resources To Those In Need
Paige Johnston, a student in the Nonprofit Leadership program at Southwest Tech, has been busy this summer. She bought a camper, but instead of camping she started The Boundless Trailer, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Through the trailer, Paige helps combat poverty and assists when natural disasters strike. She offers support and distributes everyday items, such as clothing and toiletries to those in need.

Farm Business and Production Management students joined owners of Supreme Beef, LLC. – Jared, Mike and Debbie Walz, for a tour Feb. 4. Students asked questions about the 10,000-head feedlot operation in Monona, Iowa. This newly-constructed operation custom finishes beef cattle for clients utilizing home grown feeds from the Walz’s grain operation business.
Record keeping strategies, feed management, manure management, and animal health and husbandry were a few of the topics discussed. Thank you to Supreme Beef, LLC for allowing SWTC FBPM this meaningful student experience.
