Southwest Tech Student Delivers Free Resources To Those In Need
Paige Johnston, a student in the Nonprofit Leadership program at Southwest Tech, has been busy this summer. She bought a camper, but instead of camping she started The Boundless Trailer, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Through the trailer, Paige helps combat poverty and assists when natural disasters strike. She offers support and distributes everyday items, such as clothing and toiletries to those in need.

Our Building Trades-Carpentry students reached another milestone on the spec house this week, taking their work to the roof and putting on shingles.

We recently joined forces with Lancaster Machine & Tool; Amcor Packaging; The Meat Schoppe, and HyPro Inc. to give River Ridge High School students a look at manufacturing. The event allows students to investigate a variety of career opportunities right here in their own backyard!
Students went behind the scenes to see high-tech manufacturing in action and heard real-life success stories from professionals who started right where they are, wondering what their future might look like.
The students were led by Ed Anderson, Southwest Tech Welding Instructor; Heather Burkholder, Foundation and Business Support Assistant at Southwest Tech; and Jake Johnson, Workforce Development/Employer Engagement Coordinator at Southwest Tech.
