Southwest Tech advances three presidential finalists
Fennimore -Southwest Wisconsin Technical College (Southwest Tech) has reached a significant milestone in its presidential search process. Following semi-finalist interviews and thoughtful deliberation, the District Board is anticipated to approve the advancement of three finalists for the position of President of Southwest Wisconsin Technical College at its upcoming meeting.
The finalists, listed in alphabetical order by last name, are:
- Holly Clendenen, chief student services officer, Southwest Wisconsin Technical College
- Dr. Jeremy Pickard, vice chancellor of academic affairs (CAO), Eastern Iowa Community College
- Dr. Matt Schmit, provost, Iowa Valley Community College
The District Board will lead the finalist interview phase, which will include day-long, on-campus interviews in mid-February. These visits will include structured engagement opportunities with invited faculty, staff, students, and key community and partner representatives.
Input gathered during these sessions will help inform the District Board’s final decision. Additional details, including interview dates and schedules, will be shared once finalized and approved.
The District Board extends its appreciation to the Search and Screen Committee for its leadership throughout the earlier phases of the search and to the college community for its continued engagement and support.
