Fast Track Days allow you to complete the entire admissions process in one day (please plan to spend about four hours on campus).

  • Fill out your application (if you haven't done so already)
  • Complete a placement test
  • Meet with an advisor
  • Register for classes
  • Receive a campus tour to explore Southwest Tech resources, get your student id, pick up your books and learn more about paying for college

You are encouraged to have your transcripts (high school and college) sent to Southwest Tech or bring them with you. If you have questions about your FAFSA, bring these materials too. Please plan to spend about four hours on campus.

Some programs may already be full for the upcoming term. We still encourage you to Select the program you're most interested in, so that our advisors can help guide you toward the best program for you during your Fast Track session. If you have more questions about programs that you'd like answered before you visit, please call 608.822.2354.

The Liberal Arts University Transfer program admission process cannot be completed during a Fast Track. Online applications for Fall 2017 are being accepted now

The cost for the HESI assessment is $40. You may pay for the assessment in the Testing Center on your Fast Track Day.

The Cost of the UW-Placement assessment is $10. You may pay for the assessment in the Testing Center on your Fast Track Day.

* In some cases ACT scores within the last five years, appropriate prior college credits, or other assessments may be used instead of a placement test. Please contact the Testing Center at 608.822.2313 to confirm you do not need to take the assessment.

While Financial Aid staff will be available to assist you during Fast Track, it is important that you begin your financial aid application prior to attending your chosen session.
