Students in the Human Services Associate Program are eligible to join the Active Minds at Southwest Tech Club.

The Active Minds at Southwest Tech Club is a student organization which provides service to the community, offers leadership opportunities to Human Services Associate students, and creates opportunities for students to socialize and support each other as they develop their career interests. Each year the Active Minds at Southwest Tech Club takes members to the Children Come First Annual Conference. Club members recently travelled to Wisconsin Dells for this two-day conference where they networked with other Human Service professionals. This professional conference presents inspiring keynote speakers, excellent workshops, and a resource fair.

Student officers and the club advisor lead the club's fund-raising activities for donations to organizations such as Badger Camp, the Southwest Tech holiday project for students and to defray the cost for club members to attend the annual conference. Other club activities include designing and selling HSAC t-shirts, meeting recruiters from colleges with B.A. and B.S. programs to further their education and enjoying holiday parties and other celebrations together.

The Active Minds at Southwest Tech Club meets every other Wednesday during the Meeting Hour, from 11:30 – 12:20 in Room 126.
