WEP’s ITAC primary goal is to bolster small and mid-sized manufacturers in Wisconsin by reducing energy costs and making use of new technologies. We will leverage best practices in workforce development to train participants for in-demand clean energy and manufacturing jobs by providing hands-on technical assistance to small and medium-size manufacturers.
Centers provide multiples on federal investment by reducing manufacturing energy costs, increasing the career trajectory of participants, enabling industrial decarbonization, and boosting the supply of qualified workers.

Custom Assessment
Free, course-based energy site assessments will jump-start conversations about energy reduction, electrification, decarbonization, and renewable energy. Through hands-on, work-based learning, students will bring the latest innovations and best practices right to the manufacturing floor.
Train your team
Energy considerations are increasingly complex as the world electrifies and digitizes. Through upskill training, manufacturers and industries along the supply chain will arm employees with the tools to implement energy decisions. In conjunction with the energy or solar audit, participating companies can be enrolled in the ITAC Intro Course, which will provide professional development to the site staff that uncovers the what and the why of the audit and how to develop their own energy management strategy. Topics will range from sensors and cybersecurity to energy analytics and HVAC controls.
Access resources
Our network comes with perks including access to technical experts within our technical college teaching faculties as well as from private industry. Our network will provide you with valuable insight into funding sources and explore the latest trends in industry.
