Southwest Tech places the safety and well being of our students and campus community as a top priority. Hazing is strictly prohibited under the Stop Campus Hazing Act, which strengthens and expands requirements within the Clery Act. Southwest Tech is committed to preventing hazing by educating students and employees about its risks and consequences.

The federal definition of hazing, along with applicable sanctions, is included in the Student Code of Conduct. Additionally, hazing statistics and related policies and procedures will be published in the Annual Security & Fire Safety Report beginning October 1, 2026.

Federal regulations require colleges to publish a Campus Hazing Transparency Report every six months. This report informs the public of any findings of hazing involving student organizations. Southwest Tech will update this report each May and December, and each report will remain available online for five years.

For the reporting period July 1, 2025, through December 23, 2025, Southwest Tech had no findings of hazing, as detailed below.
