Stressed out about choosing a program of study? We can help you find your fit! Join a small group of other undecided students while we explore your interests, abilities, and values. Then, we’ll research career options and help you narrow down your choices!
Get an industry-specific tour of campus followed by an admissions information session and the chance to talk to current students. For 9th-12th graders and adults. Pre-registration is required.
College and Career Exploration for High School Students
Participate in a cost of living exercise, career assessment activity, and learn about our programs. A student panel and campus tour round out the experience. For 9th-12th graders. Pre-registration is required.
Program Visit Days
Visit Southwest Tech programs, attend an admissions information session, talk to current students, and tour campus. Lunch is included. For 11th and 12th graders. Pre-registration is required.
Southwest Tech Preview Day
This bi-annual event gives visitors the opportunity to meet with instructors and current students, tour campus, and get info about admissions, financial aid, housing, and campus services. Pre-registration is required.
Fast Track Days
Fast Track Days allow you to complete the entire admissions process in one day (please plan to spend about four hours on campus).
- Fill out your application (if you haven't done so already)
- Complete a placement test
- Meet with an advisor
- Register for classes
- Receive a campus tour to explore Southwest Tech resources, get your student id, pick up your books and learn more about paying for college
You are encouraged to have your transcripts (high school and college) sent to Southwest Tech or bring them with you. If you have questions about your FAFSA, bring these materials too.
Open House – Held annually in October
Explore all the options and services available at Southwest Tech at this annual event. Representatives from each program and service area are on hand to perform demonstrations, engage visitors in hands-on activities, and lead tours through classrooms and labs. No registration is required.
