Your Advisors
I was born and raised in southwest Wisconsin in a community full of history and where much of my family still resides. I had an incredible high school experience that prepared me for college, but I wasn’t “sold” on a specific career. I began my undergraduate studies at a small, private college. While it was a great school where I met many lifelong friends, it wasn’t the right place for me. I transferred to UW-Madison, flourished, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in French and Spanish. I had two mentors through student employment that opened my eyes to a career in Student Services, specifically student support and academic advising. I knew I would need a master’s degree in order to obtain an advising position and went on to pursue my Master’s in Adult Education from UW-Platteville.
I greatly enjoy working with students to determine what program of study best fits their career goals! Moreover, it’s incredibly important to me that we work to ensure each student has equal access and support through their journey as a student – academic advising is one of those key pieces. Along with other staff and faculty, I’m so excited to meet you and to support you through your studies at Southwest Tech!

I was born and raised in Southwest Wisconsin and attended Southwest Tech after graduation from Riverdale High School. I started in the Accounting program, but eventually earned an Associate Degree in Business Management and an Associate Degree in Marketing. I used my education to start my career as the Marketing and Sales Manager for the House on the Rock Properties. Working in tourism was an amazing experience as I was able to travel all over North America promoting Wisconsin as a tourist destination. After eight years of traveling, I decided to make a change to be home more with my family and started my career at Southwest Tech in 2013.
I have worked in advising and career coaching roles at Southwest Tech since 2013. Since then, I have gone on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Administration and I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Business and Human Relations. I also helped create the Southwest Tech Clay Target Team and enjoy coaching our students. Southwest Tech was an amazing start for me on my higher educational journey and I am excited to share and help guide you through all the great opportunities that Southwest Tech offers.

I grew up in Southwest Wisconsin and love small town, rural living! I decided to stay close to home in attending the University of Wisconsin – Platteville for my undergraduate education. I started as a Psychology Major as I wanted to help people and after a couple of changes, I found my place and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Human Resources Emphasis. I worked in Human Resources for a couple of years and after starting my family decided that was not the area I wanted to work in long term.
I started working at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Student Services and knew that working in education is where I belong. It was while working in Admissions and observing the impact that the advisors had with students that I knew one day I would become an Advisor myself. It is here that I have found my passion of helping students navigate their educational journey, exploring their interests, and helping to guide them along the way in their successes and failures. Watching students achieve their desired goals in learning, careers, and life is so incredibly rewarding. I look forward to working with each of you as you discover your passions.
